The double-height living room, a white stair rising to the timber ceiling

Rooms & Facilities

A timber-lined Western house: bedrooms, a double-height living room, a glass conservatory, a Swedish sauna. Wherever you stand, the green outside and the sea find their way in. Rather than a floor plan, here is the house as five ways to spend the day.

Gather

GATHER
The double-height living room: white leather sofas, the stair to the loft

The double-height living room

A double-height room under a chandelier, windows on three sides, the light turning through it from morning to evening. Ten people sit here without crowding.

The full kitchen and its long dining table

Kitchen and dining

A full kitchen with the equipment you need, and a table long enough for everyone. Made for stays where you bring the ingredients and cook together.

Inside the conservatory, under its domed ceiling

The glass conservatory

Beyond the octagon of glass are the pool and the sea; above it, the sky. The brightest room in the house — good for breakfast, better for reading on a wet afternoon.

Sleep

SLEEP
A quietly furnished bedroom

Bedrooms

Quietly furnished rooms looking onto the garden. Bedding is prepared to match your party — six as standard, and up to ten by arrangement.

Restore

RESTORE
The timber sauna and its two tiers of benching

A Swedish sauna

A permanent timber-lined Swedish sauna, two tiers of benching, room for several at once. Afterwards, step out onto the deck and cool off in the sea air.

The open-air bath at night, walled with rounded boulders, its polygonal stone floor showing through the water

The open-air bath

A bath walled in rounded stone, with nothing above it. After dark the lamp over the hedge is the one light that reaches the water.

The jacuzzi, set against a wide window

A jacuzzi with a view

From the water you can see the horizon past the trees. A separate shower room adjoins it.

Play

PLAY
The music room, with grand piano and drums

A house made for music

A grand piano, a drum kit, guitars. You can play without wondering who hears. Good for a rehearsal weekend, and for one quiet piece at night.

Outside

OUTSIDE
The garden pool over the bay

The garden pool over the bay

An outdoor pool ringed by lawn and tiled terrace, open in summer. The view ahead is clear: the water simply continues into the Pacific and Sagami Bay. There is a golf practice green in the garden too.

The pool and Sagami Bay from the white-railed deck

The deck, facing the sea

From the white-railed deck you look down over the pool and out to the Pacific and Sagami Bay. Coffee here in the morning; stars at night.
